Local-first processing
On the Free plan, PDF tools run entirely in your browser using WebAssembly and client-side libraries. Your files are not uploaded to our servers for conversion, editing, merging, or compression.
Accounts & sync
If you create an account, we store your email and authentication data via our auth provider. Free conversion and editing still happen on-device. Optional AI tools (summary, chat, translate) send extracted text to a model API solely to generate your result — Free includes a monthly credit limit; Pro raises that limit. We do not store your documents or train models on them. Cloud pickers (when configured) only fetch files you select into your browser; processing remains local. Account cloud saves are capped on Free and unlimited on Pro.
Analytics
Optional Google Analytics helps us understand aggregate traffic and which tools people use. The analytics script loads only after you accept analytics cookies in our banner (or on the Cookie Policy page). Choosing Essential only keeps local tools fully usable without analytics cookies.
Connectivity
This is a web app with an optional light shell cache (service worker) so the site chrome can load after a prior visit. It is not a guarantee that every tool works offline. You still need a network connection for the first load, accounts, AI features, cloud pickers, and billing. Local PDF/image processing stays on your device once the tool code is loaded.
