What's new in WordToPDFHub (2026): teams, cloud saves, and private PDF tools

WordToPDFHub started as a privacy-first PDF hub: merge, split, convert, edit, and sign in the browser without uploading your files. In 2026 we layered a real workspace on top — optional accounts, Free/Pro/Business plans, team invites, a shared file library, SSO preference capture, and admin audit activity — without giving up local processing for everyday tools.

What stayed the same (on purpose)

Core PDF and image tools still run in your browser. Convert, merge, compress, redact, OCR, and the PDF Editor process documents on-device with WebAssembly. Closing the tab clears the working copy.

That matters for contracts, HR packs, and anything your policy forbids sending to a random converter. New account features are opt-in extras — not a requirement to use the tools.

Plans: Free, Pro, and Business

Free keeps local tools, modest AI credits, small batches, and a limited number of personal cloud saves. Pro raises AI credits, batch size, and file limits, with unlimited personal cloud saves when you are signed in.

Business is quoted for seats and company billing. Teams can invite members and share a library today; live SSO login and full tool-run SIEM remain on the roadmap. Request a quote on the Business page.

  • Free — local PDF/image tools, light AI limits, capped cloud saves.
  • Pro — higher AI and batch limits, unlimited personal cloud saves.
  • Business — seat packs, team library, SSO preferences, audit activity; IdP login still roadmap.

Team workspaces you can use today

Signed-in users can create a team from the dashboard, invite colleagues by email, and share a team file library. Admins can save preferred identity providers and an email domain so we can prioritize real SSO later — without pretending login enforcement is live.

Owners and admins also get an Audit activity panel for invites, library saves/deletes, and SSO preference changes. It is an honest team trail, not a security information and event management (SIEM) product.

Save to account and resume work

When you download a result while signed in, WordToPDFHub can offer Save to My files or Team library. Personal saves live under your account; team saves are visible to every member of your workspace.

The PDF Editor and many tools also support saving in-progress sessions so you can resume from the dashboard In progress tab — useful for multi-step redacts, signatures, and page edits.

Editor, security tools, and accessibility

The visual PDF Editor continues to get polish: annotations, signatures, page reorder, mobile-friendly chrome, and keyboard support (including undo/redo enablement and Escape to clear tools).

Protect and Unlock stay honest about what standard PDF encryption can and cannot do. Conversion flows announce progress and success for assistive tech. Cookie consent gates analytics so tracking only loads after you allow it.

How to try the new features step by step

A practical path if you are evaluating WordToPDFHub for your team:

  1. 1Use any tool anonymously to confirm browser-local processing fits your workflow.
  2. 2Create a free account, run a conversion, and save the download to My files.
  3. 3Open Dashboard → Team & usage, create a team, and invite one colleague.
  4. 4Save a second download to Team library and confirm both of you can open it.
  5. 5If you need SSO later, save IdP preferences and request a Business quote.

Privacy and security

Local tools still do not upload your PDFs to WordToPDFHub servers for processing. Optional cloud saves and team library files are stored for your account or org when you explicitly save them.

AI features only send extracted text when you run them. Analytics load only after cookie consent. Prefer SSO when available does not block password or Google sign-in until IdP login ships.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to use WordToPDFHub?
No. Free PDF and image tools work without signing in. Accounts unlock cloud saves, resume sessions, teams, and plan upgrades.
Are team files processed on your servers?
Tool runs still happen in the browser. When you choose Team library on download, the finished file is uploaded to your org’s private storage so teammates can open it later.
Is SSO live?
Not yet. Admins can save preferred providers and domains. Sign-in today still uses email/password, magic link, or Google. Live IdP login is on the roadmap.
What does Audit activity include?
Team create, invites, library save/delete, and SSO preference updates — visible to owners and admins. Per-tool SIEM for every merge or convert is still roadmap.
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. Every WordToPDFHub tool runs inside your browser using WebAssembly, so your document never leaves your device.
